This tab consists of 2 sections; Promotional Budget & Reveue Breakdown. Your revenue target depends on how much you are spending on promotions or marketing efforts. However, depending on your business you will also get some organic customers. We have considered both these factors. So, for e.g. if you are spending $1000 on social media and you have to spend $100 to acquire 1 customer then you will get 10 customers. If the average revenue from these 10 customers is $50 then your total revenue will be $500.
This is a very simple representation of the revenue model and this model lets you work with multiple revenue sources and sub-sources along with multiple marketing channels.

Step 3: Cost
There are 2 types of cost; fixed costs and variable costs. They are as their name suggests. For e.g. rent is not going up or down with your changing revenue but utility cost will be higher if more patients use your facility. In accounting terms, we consider fixed costs as operating expenses and variable cost as cost of services or goods sold.
You dont have to bother about these terms. The financial model takes care of these things. When you insert the appropriate numbers such as your price, costs, salaries then eveything is taken care of automatically. Also, you might have come across a term called “break-even point”, this is also clarified in the financial model. So, you can answer your investors at what point of time in the future your business might start generating profits.
There are 5 tabs for cost:
✅ Cost of Services Assumptions: here you hard inout variables based on your assumptions. For e.g. if you are charging $X for a service then there could be 3 different costs ($A, $B and $C) associated with that service.
✅ Operating Expenses Assumptions: These are mostly fixed expenses or costs which are not dependent on revenue generation. These expenses are incurred even if you are not generating any revenue.

Step 4: Cash Flow Assumptions:
Cash flow has 3 primary components: Cash from Operating Activities, Cash Flow from Investing Activities and Cash Flow from Financing Activities. The cash increase or decrease from your core operations, for e.g. when customer pays you after 1 month then that receivables has to be deducted from sales to get the cash flow. On the other hand, the money you invest goes into Cash Flow from Financing Activities and the items which you invest on goes to Cash Flow from Investing Activities.
In this section, you only make assumptions of receivables, payables and inventory.
